Camille is a chartered Facade Engineer with over 15 years experience delivering facade projects in all sectors. From her beginnings as a building physics specialist, she has developed her knowledge across all aspects of facade engineering to deliver high quality design.

Her experience ranges from design of the facade packages of Battersea Power Station to 2 Redman Place in Stratford, a BREEAM outstanding commercial development. Following the completion of the RICS Expert Witness course, she has been involved in forensic and investigative works. She now leads the BB7 Safer Building Design offering , delivering the company’s Fire + Facade intergrated approach.

Camille was involved with the Joint Competence Initiative for the Building Envelope (JCI) to develop basic competency testing for the Facade Industry. She is one of the founding members of the Envelope Collective , a group to support women in all roles within the facade industry.

Chiara is an accredited conservation architect with more than 20 years of experience in building conservation, failure investigations and diagnostic. Her focus is to find future-proof technical solutions that conjugate conservation and development of heritage buildings to allow their continued use and enjoyment.

Chiara’s experience is across a variety of building structures, construction techniques and materials, including historic, modern and contemporary building systems. During her professional practice, she has achieved competences in historical and archivist research, material testing,assessment and report of existing condition, determination of appropriate treatments and repairs, development of technical specifications and construction documents, including the application of sustainability principles to heritage and, in general, existing buildings.

Over the years she has developed skills in the investigation of failures of materials and construction systems, including traditional masonry defects, stone cladding and curtain walls defects, plasters and renders defects. Her experience includes investigation of defects caused by water ingress / condensation / moisture. She carries out condensation risk assessments, thermal and hygrothermal analysis to validate design and as an investigative tool to determine causes of damage.

Craig L Renton. Associate Director and Building Regulations Technical Lead, working alongside the wider Building Safety team. Craig was previously part of the Building Safety Regulator.

Fabio Moretti is a Senior Façade Engineer in Arup’s UK Façade Team, based in Leeds. With over ten years of industry experience, he has contributed to major UK projects such as 1 Mayfair (London), New Victoria (Manchester) and the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Fabio’s expertise spans the full spectrum of engineering disciplines associated with façade design from structural engineering to building physics. Fabio defines himself as a façade “lover”, always curious in all subjects that are façade related.

Ian Wilson is the Chairman of Benx, a leading provider of innovative façade solutions. Prior to joining the company in 2015, Ian spent more than two decades advising companies across a range of industries on strategic and financial matters, as a partner at Ernst & Young (US) and Grant Thornton (UK), as well as 5 years as an investment banker in New York. He also spent 5 years as European CFO and UK Country Manager at Home Décor Innovations.

Ian’s role at Benx includes spearheading strategic projects to create new market opportunities. The group’s most recent development is the launch of Safewall®, a breakthrough rainscreen innovation designed to reduce complexity, while meeting the highest safety standards and offering exceptional design flexibility. Safewall® is the culmination of 5 years of product development, testing and certification activities, involving colleagues from every part of the Benx group.

Nick Tyrer is the Design Lead at Sports Architects BDP Pattern. Over the past decade, he has shaped the studio’s creative vision and computational design approach, delivering internationally acclaimed stadiums, including venues for the FIFA World Cup and the Premier League, recently completing Everton's new home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium. He is committed to crafting joyful public spaces and innovative experiences at all scales and budgets, advocating for a fabrication-focused design philosophy.

Paul has worked on a broad range of projects, including the design of large-scale, award-winning buildings. His expertise lies in delivering consistent design quality across a range of sectors and typologies, from large-scale masterplans to individual buildings. This experience has involved managing complex briefing processes with multiple stakeholders, while maintaining architectural ambition. His approach combines careful design development from concept through to completion, balancing creative vision with user requirements and technical performance to ensure design integrity throughout.

Sean Robbinson, Head of Building Safety, Sean has extensive experience across the public and private sectors, specialising in building surveying, fire safety, and building safety within social housing, local government, and student accommodation.

He is a leading practitioner in the preparation and delivery of Building Safety Cases, with significant experience in developing safety case reports, risk assessments, resident engagement strategies, and mandatory occurrence reporting in line with regulatory best practice and Building Safety Regulator expectations.

Sean has played a central role in establishing and developing Anstey Horne’s Building Regulations Principal Designer (BR-PD) service line, helping clients embed compliance, competence, and governance into complex higher-risk building projects from the earliest design stages.

He has represented a major social housing provider as its in-house Building Safety Manager and was a member of the DLUHC and Building Safety Regulator Early Adopters Programme. He successfully delivered a trial safety case report with the Regulator, which has since been adopted as a benchmark for internal assessment and training.

Sean also has extensive experience in registering high-rise buildings and securing regulatory approval for fire safety and structural improvement works.

Simone is the Head of Façade Engineering at AKT II, leading design excellence, project delivery and global client relationships across commercial and residential developments. With international experience spanning the UK, Australia, the Middle East and North America, he brings a strong cross-market perspective to façade engineering, with particular expertise in building physics and environmental performance.

After relocating to the UK in 2014, Simone focused on façade engineering following early experience in Italy and further professional development in New York, where he contributed to major international projects.

His portfolio includes landmark schemes such as the Chancery Rosewood, 1 Broadgate, the Kensington Olympia Redevelopment, Tower Hamlets Town Hall and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Simone’s multidisciplinary background and global outlook enable him to lead complex teams and deliver innovative, sustainable envelope solutions within the dynamic field of architectural engineering consultancy.
